The Development Finance Authority of Summit County (DFA) announced today the retirement of Chris Burnham as President, effective December 31, 2024, and the appointment of Rachel Bridenstine as President, effective January 1, 2025.  Bridenstine, currently Vice President of the organization, has been with DFA since 2015, held numerous executive level positions and has worked together with Chris in the growth and success of the organization.  

Effective January 1, 2023, the Development Finance Authority of Summit County (DFA) announced the promotions of Rachel Bridenstine to the new position of DFA Vice President, Kyle Julien to Managing Director of the Western Reserve Community Fund, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) based lender managed by DFA, and Anna Weant-King to Project Manager.

May 17, 2022 Akron, OH – Effective immediately Lori Sallaz has been promoted to the position of Manager, Bond Finance Programs for the Development Finance Authority of Summit County. Lori will manage all aspects of the A- Rated Jobs and Investment Fund, conduit bond financing programs serve as Assistant Secretary Treasurer of the Akron-Summit County Energy Special Improvement District (ESID), and work on various other activities that promote economic development in the region.

February 16, 2022 Akron, OH –The Development Finance Authority of Summit County (DFA) is pleased to announce the addition of James Watkins to the position of Community Lending Officer. In this role, James will work on behalf of the Western Reserve Community Fund’s (WRCF) mission-based lending and technical assistance programs.
