Development Finance Authority of Summit County Announces Staff Promotions

January 4, 2023 Akron, OH – Effective January 1, 2023, the Development Finance Authority of Summit County (DFA) announced the promotions of Rachel Bridenstine to the new position of DFA Vice President, Kyle Julien to Managing Director of the Western Reserve Community Fund, a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) based lender managed by DFA, and Anna Weant-King to Project Manager.

 

Julie Wesel, DFA Board Chairman said in a statement, “During the past several years, our organization has experienced growth in its lending platforms and now has the ability to finance projects from $10,000 – $7M.  In 2022, the organizations managed by DFA closed 129 different transactions across 13 communities, making direct loans in the amount of almost $42M.  We have expanded and developed our staff to successfully address market capacity and volume of this work while maintaining a strong commitment to customer service.” 

 

DFA President Chris Burnham added, “We have the utmost confidence in Rachel and Kyle to assume these new leadership positions within DFA and for Anna to assume new responsibilities.  They and the rest of our DFA team and are totally committed to finding ways to provide added value to communities within our service area.”
