August 31 2022 Akron, OH – The Development Finance Authority (DFA) of Summit County is pleased to welcome Chad Mayle to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Valicia Crawford to Accounting and Asset Manager.
As CFO, Chad will have oversight and responsibility for financial management, accounting, analysis, forecasting, reporting, and risk management for DFA and the organizations it manages. Chad joins DFA from his most recent position as Controller, at Alderson Broaddus University, in Philippi, West Virginia. A northeast Ohio native, Chad has over 17 years of experience in non-profit and public accounting.
As the Accounting and Asset Manager, Valicia will focus on accounting, budgeting, and financial compliance for the Development Fund of the Western Reserve (DFWR) and the Western Reserve Community Fund (WRCF). Valicia has 19 years’ experience in fiscal management, most recently with the Cuyahoga County Department of Jobs and Family Services. Valicia is a resident of Portage County.

Across our organizations, we have 19 different financial statements to compile, monitor, and manage. Each has their own audit and portfolio of loans to track and analyze from an accounting standpoint. We’re delighted to have Chad and Valicia join our team, and the knowledge and capacity they bring to our organizations.”
