Rachel Bridenstine, Executive Director of the Development Fund of the Western Reserve (DFWR) and Western Reserve Community Fund (WRCF) has been awarded the Ohio Economic Development Professional of the Year by the Ohio Economic Development Association. Summit County Executive Ilene Shapiro put forth the nomination. DFWR and WRCF are managed by the Development Finance Authority of Summit County. Rachel directs and manages all initiatives of DFWR and WRCF.

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct. 22, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- JobsOhio today announced that it has partnered with six qualified Ohio Port Authorities that sponsor five regional investment-grade bond funds to establish $50 million in additional debt service reserves. The commitment to the ports supports their S&P Global, A- rated investment-grade bond funds that fund critical economic development efforts such as public infrastructure and manufacturing and distribution facilities which will support the creation of tens of thousands of jobs statewide. Development Fund of the Western Reserve Promotes New Executive Director
Effective August 1st, 2021 Rachel Bridenstine has been promoted to Executive Director of The Development Fund of the Western Reserve (DFWR), a certified Community Development Entity of the U.S. Treasury Community Development Finance Institution Fund, which is managed by the Development Finance Authority of Summit County. Rachel will direct and manage all initiatives of DFWR to ensure effective operations, regulating compliance and maximizing community impact.
